It is impossible to say for certain that this model – based on an amazingly well preserved original – was intended to be a “baroque cello bow”, but the diameter and length of its stick as well as its weight speak for themselves.
A strikingly simple yet elegant design is combined with a clear attack and a rich tone. When played, the bow unmistakably demonstrates its character in its balance and ability to spring.
For me, this bow is a revelation in the field of early cello playing.
