This beautiful classical model from around 1800 is attributed to John Kew Dodd (1752-1839). The original has a stick of pernambuco wood, but my copies use unfigured snakewood.
This has a couple reasons: good pernambuco wood has become extremely rare, and – most importantly – I am unfortunately highly allergic to its dust, even when wearing a mask.
