In view of its current location in Salzburg and the fact that it was most likely first made there, this famous bow has a particular connection to the music of erstwhile court composer Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber.

The short, delicate stick is very light. Thanks to its convex curvature, the bow has a distinct feeling in the player’s hand when compared to, for instance, a Corelli model, leading to different musical interpretations.

This model is delivered with two frogs for adjusting the hair tension while maintaining a consistent playing height (i.e. distance between hair and stick at the frog).
